The HSFC-2001 High Strength Fiber Cleaver gives square fiber ends for low-loss splicing or fiber measurement. The fiber is held in a detachable clip so that contact with metal clamping surfaces is avoided. The resultatnt cleave is suitable for high strength fusion splicing. The cleaved fiber in its clip can be transferred straight to a fusion splicer
